As I said earlier today about Flemingo pitcher Jose Fernandez of the Miami Marlins, "I don't have much hope this year for a player that's only 20 and has never pitched above A ball..."
His first start above A ball was today against the Mets (on the road in New York City) and he threw 5 innings giving up 3 hits, a walk, a run, and striking out 8 with his fastball hitting 97mph...
Maybe I was wrong.
